Its been a very busy period. The girls are suddenly having a surge in milestones – they are crawling, attempting to sit up, and trying to hold their own milk bottles. And I have avoided solids long enough and have already done a batch of sweet potato puree to start them off tomorrow. They seem really hungry and I am going to see if giving solids might stave off their hunger. I think what’s hilarious to me is when I bring three bottles of milk to them and clearly I can only feed two at a time (I don’t have a third hand) and they all eagerly anticipate that I will choose them. The one who gets left out and has to wait will immediately look disappointed and go into a 10-min long cry until its her turn to drink. I thought how funny that they can tell just from looking at their bottles that its food.
They have really kept me busy that I did not notice at all that I have barely left the house since Chinese New Year. It finally got to me today because I started feeling very irritable when I hear them crying and it dawned on me that I haven’t had personal time in a while. So I went out today to get a bit of a breather.
I know children grow. It’s not some unimaginable feat. But seeing all three of them grow together is indeed something. I’ll never experience this again. And we are starting to feel that yearning of the baby moments passing us by. I made a video of the girls as they grow in the past six months and I would like to share it with you all but I have to make changes to the music because they would not allow me to upload it in its current form. Its so annoying.
I’ll leave you with my favorite photo of them at the moment. We were all playing dress up with Livia that day and I had the idea to stick her hats on their heads and it turned out to be so awesomely cute. I wish I had more time on my hands to do more dress-up with the three of them! When I have free time, I’ve been learning to make bread and pizza dough from scratch. Its been surprisingly very satisfying! The family loves it!
I’ll share the video in the next post when I figure out how to get around the uploading rules.
