Last Hurrah

Whenever I think that the period of throwing up is over, it comes back.  I have seriously never vomited so much in my life.  One does feel a lot better after throwing up, although the actual process of throwing up is very much vile and is not great for my teeth.  At least I didn’t get dehydrated.  I go through at least 2.5 bottles (the size of wine bottles) a day.

But since I have been feeling energetic and for some reason, free from aches and pain momentarily, we decided to have a last hurrah.  I read that in a months’ time my stomach would stretch beyond normal limits and mobility would be severely curtailed. We decided to go my favourite place in Singapore – Katong.  My husband who was very sceptical said, “Are you sure you will be able to take it?”  Actually I wasn’t so sure.

I had my eyebrows shaped at Browhaus, something I’ve been meaning to do for months. Then for lunch we had a Sukiyaki buffet with free flow wagyu beef.  After that, we decided to to something brave which was bring our 1.5 year toddler into the cinema with us to catch a movie.  I decided on X-Men since everyone raved about it.  I predicted Livia would fall asleep since she needed her afternoon nap.  She had some popcorn during the commercials and first 20 mins of the film, then she fussed for a few minutes and irritated some cinema patrons but soon she fell into deep sleep despite the obviously loud sound effects.  Our secret to successful napping outdoors is the Boba 3G baby carrier – it has never failed us.   This was the first time my husband and I have been to the cinema together since we became parents in Oct 2012.  And probably the last time until uhm 2017.  Livia woke up just as the movie ended and we took her to the water playground where she went crazy for an hour going up and down water-slides.  Officially tired by evening time, we brought home dinner from the food court.  I even had a bit of energy left to clean the house and prepare lunch for my husband to take to work the next day.

It was seriously the most fun day I’ve had as far as the year went.  I was very, very tired, but there were enough resting areas around Katong.  One more thing I would like to do before having the triplets is eat an awesome seafood dinner with my favourite chilli and salted egg yolk crabs and go to the swimming pool a couple more times.  I don’t want to push my luck too far and over-exert myself and cause contractions, so I’ll have to do all these soon.  If I was a bit more gung-ho, I would have signed us all up for a short cruise but I’ve read about women going into labor overseas and I thought I better not tempt fate. Its too bad I was so sick for so long that I couldn’t do much until I am way too big now.
